Valderie Originals is having a SPRINGCLEANING sale. Yes, I am pimpin’ my Contributor’s shit, because I like to think we’re not only here to spread the Frank love but also help people who do things (like paint records or do interviews or make jewelery or whatever) that also help spread the Frank love. Awkward sentence was awkward, but you get me. <3 Michelle
My big sale ends on the 21st! Don’t miss out on savings :)
at 5:30 Frank talks about his love of history books and the t-shirt I made for him!
“…and I read history books cause I’m a nerd.” “Like the t-shirt says.” “Actually yeah, I’ve got my lovely new t-shirt that my friend Val gave me today that says ‘history is important’ and it is! It’s a true fact. It’s funny cause it’s true.”

My friend @valeriegritsch painted this awesome Patent Pending “Second Family” vinyl for me!!!!! LOVE THAT! #patentpending #secondfamily #vinyl #blink182 #alltimelow #greenday #celinedion (Taken with Instagram)
Sadly it is blurry. But look! It’s Alex Levine, my painted vinyl record (that’s now his), and me!
He’s kind of an absolutely fantastic human being.
People don’t really freak out about my paintings in person to me just because that’s the nature of selling online. But I was so touched to watch his reaction. As he pulled the record out of the “POLKA” sleeve, stared at it in awe, asked “you made this?” a handful of times and then called everyone over to look. That made me want to cry to be completely honest. I am seriously so glad everyone liked it and I hope it enjoys its new home with an art collector who happens to be a bassist in a band I adore.
Completely bonkers. Completely. It’s nice to see reactions like that in person, and not just see photos and read comments. It enforces the feelings that something silly you do, like painting on a record, can bring someone else real excitement and that is incredible. Alex was incredible.
Ronnie, the singer of Born Of Osiris, posted a photo of his new record on twitter and instagram!
Our mutual friend asked me to paint it for them, and this past weekend at Warped Tour I met the guys backstage where they thanked me for the record and asked me about the process of making it. Such nice guys, I’m really glad they liked it!
Chris Farren (of Fake Problems) posted this photo of his framed record to the band’s instagram account :)
