My babies. (Taken with instagram)
So I don’t know how many of you know Kaleigh, but her mom has recently started selling custom-painted shoes, where you can send her a logo/your shoe size and she can paint you a pair of sweet new canvas kicks. I believe they’re going for $40 or $50 a pair depending on the work, OR you can mail her a pair of your old TOMS (like I did) or Vans or what have you, and she can paint the design of your choice onto them for… I believe it’s $20? Correct me if I’m wrong, Kaleigh.
The paint job is waterproof (although you wouldn’t be walking in the rain in your TOMS, right…), and it looks GREAT. I got asked about my shoes on the bus the other night. David Blaise from This Providence LOVES the work on Kaleigh’s own shoes! And why wouldn’t he, it just looks so cool!
ANYWAY. The point is, Kaleigh’s mom’s work is awesome and you can see more examples HERE. My pair was a custom request, it’s the logo for Empires’ upcoming release Garage Hymns (DOWNLOAD IT ON JUNE 12, PLEASE AND THANK YOU). A custom paint job on your shoes is a great talking point, and they don’t even have to be band-themed.
Here is the Etsy store, and if you’re interested in this sort of thing, I highly recommend you support this because it really is awesome to have a pair of shoes that shows off your love for whatever it is you enjoy.
Kaleigh and her mom are long time supporters and friends of mine! If you’re looking for some sweet kicks you know where to go :)

This is a great opportunity for exposure and a big milestone for the little jewelry shop that could. Thanks, Storenvy!
